Hello from Christie

I have spent most of my life in Northern Canada, where a deep appreciation for nature and the outdoors has inspired my artistic journey. Many of my paintings reflect the rich culture, breathtaking landscapes, and unique character of this remarkable region.

Throughout my career, I have worked as an educator, teaching both in the classroom and as an art specialist, sharing my passion for creativity with students of all ages. I have also illustrated several children’s books that celebrate the lifestyle and traditions of Northern Canadian communities.

While I primarily work with acrylics and watercolours, I enjoy exploring a variety of artistic media and techniques. Among my proudest accomplishments are receiving recognition in juried art shows throughout Northern Manitoba.

My recent work has evolved into a contemporary abstract style characterized by expressive, loose brushwork. Through bold colour, movement, and texture, I strive to create paintings that are vibrant, energetic, and filled with a sense of optimism and positivity.
